WEBMAIL / WEBMAIL FEATURES

Your email can be collected using standard applications like Outlook on a PC or and equivalent app on a Mac. POP or IMAP are available and the set upsa are listed below.

If you prefer or when initially setting up your email, you may prefer WEBMAIL. The login portal for webmail is at:-

SETTING UP EMAIL ON A PC

IMPORTANT NOTE : In the data below you must replace “vault1.co.uk” with yout own domain name. SO if your domain name is mylovelygarden.co.uk your Incoming Mail Server would be imap.mylovelygarden.co.uk  

There is nothing really that needs to be done but typically you would want set up email on computers and phones using the data specified in the right hand section of the control panel.

Incoming Mail Server imap.vault1.co.uk
Outgoing Mail Server smtp.vault1.co.uk

And here are the full parameters for the mailserver:-

*** Automatic Setup for PCs – OUTLOOK type clients ***

  • In Outlook, choose the File tab
  • Under ‘Account Information’, choose Add Account
  • On the Auto Account Setup page, enter your name, email address, and password, and then choose Next
  • Choose Finish

 

*** Manual Setup ***

If automatic setup failed, you can choose Manual setup or additional server types to enter your settings manually. Use these settings:

Account type: IMAP
Incoming mail server: imap.vault1.co.uk
Outgoing mail server: smtp.vault1.co.uk
Incoming server port (IMAP): 993
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Outgoing server port (SMTP): 587
Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS

When setting up your account, please choose More Settings > Outgoing Server and check the box for ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’.

If you experience any problems with the connection or receive a certificate warning, please disable SSL/TLS encryption and change the incoming server port to 143.

You can also set up the account using POP3, in general though please remember that emails will be downloaded to the mail client when you connect to the mail server.

Account type: POP3
Incoming mail server: pop3.vault1.co.uk
Outgoing mail server: smtp.vault1.co.uk
Incoming server port (POP3): 995
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Outgoing server port (SMTP): 587
Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS

 

APPLE DEVICES

IMPORTANT NOTE : In the data below you must replace “vault1.co.uk” with yout own domain name. SO if your domain name is mylovelygarden.co.uk your Incoming Mail Server would be imap.mylovelygarden.co.uk  

To set up your mailbox on an Apple iPhone or iPad, you can need to:
Head to the Settings icon and locate the Accounts & Passwords option.
Then select : Add Account.
Select : Other from this list.

Select : Add Mail Account.

Input the information requested:
Name: Anything
Email: example@vault1.co.uk
Password: Mailbox Password
Description: Work, Business…etc

IMAP:
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: imap.vault1.co.uk
Username: example@vault1.co.uk
Password: Mailbox Password
Outgoing Mail Server
Host Name: smtp.vault1.co.uk
Username: example@vault1.co.uk
Password: Mailbox Password

Finally, select the mail account and go into the Outgoing Mail Server settings. Select Primary Server, make sure SSL is switched on and the port is set to 587.
