Why WordPress only on these servers?

WordPress is a superb framework, but because of its flexibility it is inherently over-weight as regards its code. It also doesn’t help that in WprdPress is a Module or Plug-In for almost everything and its very tempting for web designers to offer extra features, often with just a few clicks. Lastly.. Images. From the viewers’ perspective, the bigger the image, the better. But the bigger the image, the bigger the file-size, the longer it takes to load the image and the page on which it sits.

The “cost” then,  of all these added features is “bloat” and this increases page load times.

Its been calculated that people get annoyed if a page takes over 2 seconds to load and so we have created a system of hosting which minimises the file sizes and therefore load times of all the above

Its fast not just because SSDs are much faster and more responsive than hard drives, but because the whole server system is designed to flow WordPress websites from code to web as quickly and efficiently as possible.

For example… Our WordPress platform sits behind a pre-configured NGINX edge cache system: StackCache. It speeds up page loading for users. Although it works straight out of the box, advanced users might want to manage the cached content themselves. The StackCache plugin interface inside WordPress allows this.

THE PLUG-IN CACHE SOFTWARE

There are a few basic requirements before you can use the WordPress Optimised Servers :-

• This platform is suitable for WordPress only websites.
• No other software should be present in the package’s web space.
• WordPress must be installed in your public_html directory and updated to the latest version.
• Please ensure all associated plugins are PHP 7 compatible.
• Lastly you should not be using any other speed booster plugin or caching plugin as they “compete” against the server’s plugin slowing both systems down.
